When you see other coaches and creatives post about their 6 figure businesses on instagram, you can taste a salty mix of repulsion and jealousy in your mouth. You dream of having a thriving business like that and, at the same time, hearing someone talk about money in that way feels gross and materialistic.
Meanwhile, you’re doing mental arithmetic to calculate how many more months you can do this before the money runs out and you have to go and get a ‘real job’.
You’ve been undercharging for way too long and when you finally go to increase your prices, you type and re-type those digits on your screen 20 times.
You use angel numbers like $222 or $1111 to make it feel softer and to look less ‘up yourself’ for thinking you deserve to be paid that much for your work.
You use words like “investment” or “spiritual exchange” or “sacred exchange” - practically any word you can think of except “price” - because it feels greedy and gross to charge for your soul work and deep down, you think people will need convincing to part with that much cash to work with you.
Every time you land on a new number, you think “will people actually pay that?” before going down the rabbit hole of checking how much your peers are charging.
And, when you finally hit publish on your updated webpage, you feel super vulnerable to attack, criticism and judgement (especially your own).
The end result?
You feel less in alignment than when you were doing that soul sucking muggle job that you left and you’re starting to wonder if you did the right thing in embarking on this path in the first place.
But here’s the thing… none of this money struggle is your fault.
You didn’t skip school the day everyone else was being taught about money.
It was just never taught.
Instead, you’ve absorbed what you've seen and heard about money during your lifetime and your brain has had to create a story to join all these dots together to make sense of it all.
That’s why almost every subconscious association you have with money is that it will cause you pain or that it will cause other people pain if you have it.
Which is why it makes sense that your brain wants you to run as fast as you can in the opposite direction.
Those deeply internalised beliefs are why you under-charge for your work, give it away for free or work crazy hard for money.
Those beliefs are why the money management courses, manifesting workshops and vision boards only seem to create temporary change.
They’re why you resist holding money conversations or allowing for any circumstances that may result in more money flowing to you.
And they’re why, when you have a larger-than-usual amount of money sitting in your bank account, it feels like a hot potato and you find yourself splurging on a Spell sale before it has a chance to shake things up.
Your brain does all this because it loves you and wants to protect you but what it doesn’t yet know is this:
Money is not the problem.
And here’s some excellent news…
You can train your brain to associate money with things like joy, freedom and making a positive difference in this world instead.
That’s when you’ll energetically and practically open yourself up to the resources that allow you to revel in the gift of this life.
Where you’ll have the cash to travel, invest in your growth, eat delicious and nourishing foods, go on that retreat, feel supported in and elevated by the work that you do, meet interesting people and spark new friendships, buy ethical & sustainable, donate to causes that tug on your heart and have the time freedom to be able to spend hours, days or weeks doing nothing but the things that nourish your soul.
And that’s when you’ll be able to do all of this without having to worry, or even think about money.
Because you won’t just have freedom through money, but freedom from money too.

Hi, I’m Tara Winters
I’m an award winning coach, intuitive soul guide and ex-accountant and even before I embarked on my 20+ year corporate accounting adventure, the word ‘budget’ made my eyeballs feel dry and my life force feel drained (but I did it anyway, because I was a ‘good girl’).
I’ve worked in the halls of money and power - the London office of a global investment bank - and as a mother, a woman of colour and a child of immigrants, I still felt locked out of the money world. That’s the impact of internalised oppression and ancestral wounds right there.
I’ve also hung out in spiritual circles where I felt greedy and materialistic for having money rather than just talking about a vague and fluffy sense of abundance that doesn’t pay the bills.
What I’ve come to realise is that much of the world has a tortured relationship with money. And so it’s no wonder that beautiful humans like you - if you don’t have the right information and tools at your disposal - absorb the heaviness of that and take on that tortured relationship too.
The truth is that money and spirituality can, in fact, truly elevate one another.
You don’t need to worship money at all costs but you don’t need to turn your back on it to live a soul-fulfilling life either.
My life experience and wisdom gained from straddling both worlds has led me to the middle path - the path of reverence for money AND soul - and my own unique blend of money and spirituality that feels rich, expansive and integrity-filled. It is one of my greatest joys in life to share this medicine with you.
I am financially free and still choose to do this work because it lights me up to see big hearted, sensitive, creative and spiritual folk like you - who have, up until now, been intentionally cut out of the money/power conversation - be not only brought back in but truly elevated.
