Career Alignment

Do you feel like aspects of your job are out of integrity with who you are?

Authenticity and alignment are themes that have emerged repeatedly in my conversations with clients and friends (and clients who are friends!) over the last couple of months.

If you feel like aspects of:

  • the job you are doing

  • the environment in which you're doing it

  • the people you are working with; or

  • the industry you are working in

no longer feel good for you, you are not alone. I have been there before (multiple times) and many of my clients come to me for this very reason.

And please believe me when I say that there is NOTHING wrong with you. You are not broken. You are not a failure. You are not weak. You are not incompetent. You are not doing something wrong.

In fact, you are doing something very, very right. You are listening to your inner guidance which is offering you the best advice you'll ever get. This place, this job, it's not for you. If the only reason you're turning up every day is for the money, then this is a clue that you are ready for your next evolution.

I'm not telling you to quit your job. I get it that there are bills to pay and you want to do the responsible thing.

What I am saying is that those edgy feelings you're experiencing are like your internal GPS system warning you that you're a little off course. Those feelings of being out of alignment are actually divine pieces of information pointing the way to where your soul wants to go. Perhaps it's time to take tiny steps in that direction.

Or maybe it's time to take big steps in that direction. One of my clients quit her job. The Universe answered the prayers of another and made his job redundant soon after we started working together (though perhaps he may not have seen it that way initially). Both of them have no regrets and look back in gratitude because their next evolution feels so much more in alignment with their soul.

What tiny or big steps do you need to take to feel more aligned, more authentic and more in integrity with who you really are?
